Yesterday, I learned two things from being in an accident bad enough to essentially total both cars.
– People do not expect honesty, especially from the guilty (the accident was mostly my fault and I didn’t try to hide the fact; both the other driver and the police were shocked by this).
– You come to understand, in a manner that leaves no doubt, how much you are loved.

The next part of the “A day in the life of…” story will be forthcoming this weekend.
I am glad to know that despite totaling your car you are well enough to have written this. The thing is D’javele we are all probably more loved then we realize.
As to people expecting dishonesty, this is true even on the job. Admitting that something didn’t go right and it was your fault is met with looks of stunned silence, everyone seems to expect that blame will be shifted or foisted or diluted.
While I am clearly not honest in all areas of my life. that too is being worked on.
Very, very glad you are okay.
Tess
Well, I’m relieved you lived to tell the tale anyway. And events which remind you you’re loved are good things.
I’m very glad to hear that you are alright, D’jaevle.

Thank you for your kind thoughts.
I am, indeed, in one piece (as is the other driver).
“The thing is D’javele we are all probably more loved then we realize.”
Tess took the words right out of my mouth.
We never really do know, and what a shame that is…
Glad you’re ok. *hugs*
Obviously .. delighted you and the other person are in one piece.
Honesty is only found in the very very young innocent ones.. or the oldest of the old .. who have nothing to be gained by a lie.
