brighter then crimson

Reading John D. MacDonald’s McGee novels makes me want to be a more robust man. A burly, competent fellow who can bounce on the balls of his feet and clean up a good woman with a few brutally honest words comprised of hard won wisdom.

Alas, I am not there yet.

But it is something to strive for.

  1. Today, July 16, 2009 is the 1st day Ive read your blogs from April – June 2009. In your entry for June 16th, you mentioned some random notes – Are you studying to be a Priest?

  2. *amused smile*

No, not as such; there are a number of ‘churches’ on-line that will take your money and give you a paper saying your ordained. This is, apparently, enough to officiate a marriage ceremony.

Which doesn’t mean I haven’t given up on the idea of becoming a monk in some idyllic hermitage at some point.

    Just not yet.

  3. yeah- but do you want a “susan” in your life. I always found her inredibly obnoxious.
